NICK CAROZZA MUSIC
Nick Carozza is an oboist and music educator currently based in Las Vegas, NV pursuing his D.M.A. at UNLV. He currently performs with the Red Rock Wind Quintet, UNLV Symphony Orchestra and UNLV Wind Orchestra. Nick has performed with the Grand Junction Symphony Orchestra, Tuscaloosa Symphony Orchestra, Montgomery Symphony Orchestra, and Meridian Symphony Orchestra. Nick received his B.M. from Colorado Mesa University studying with Dr. William Aikens and his M.M at the University of Alabama studying with Dr. Mary Lindsey Bailey and Dr. Sara Renner. When he's not making reeds or practicing, you can find him playing chess, skateboarding, or jogging.
Nick Carozza has extensive experience in piano performance, including jazz, classical, collaborative, and worship settings. Nick was the keyboard player for 4640, the youth ministry of Fellowship Church (Grand Junction) since 2014. Nick was also the pianist for the Charisma Chorus, an after school choir program in Western Colorado. Nick has performed on senior recitals with instruments from the flute to the tuba. Nick made his conducting debut with the Valley Youth Orchestra in 2019. Nick sees rehearsal as on opportunity to share life lessons and collaborative strategies through music. As a composer, Nick has written many jazz pieces, including "For Liz" dedicated to his little sister. His compositions have been performed extensively, including at the Colorado Music Educator's Association Convention. Nick composed his first film soundtrack for the 2019 production "The Vaxx" and the 2020 production "SNAP".
